EQT Infrastructure was launched in 2008 and makes controlling equity investments in medium sized infrastructure companies in primarily the Nordic region, parts of Continental Europe and North America. The committed capital of EQT Infrastructure is approximately EUR 1.2 billion.

The Fund targets various infrastructure sectors where EQT’s industrial model can be implemented, including regulated infrastructure, concession based infrastructure, market driven infrastructure and infrastructure related services. Main focus is existing infrastructure. Investments are financed with equity from the fund and external debt financing from traditional lenders.

The Fund’s objective with its infrastructure investments is to develop, grow and improve the infrastructure companies in order to make them more efficient, more accessible and ultimately more valuable to all stakeholders. This typically involves further investments in order to expand size and scope of services.
