Mr. Eichelberger joined EQT Partners on a full-time basis in June 2003.  He already worked for EQT Partners as a part time research analyst since August 2001. Prior to EQT Partners, Mr. Eichelberger worked as an assistant to the CEO of a software company and in this role was responsible for Finance and Accounting. Between 1994 and 1997, he had a professional training at a subsidiary of STRABAG AG and afterwards worked in their financial accounting department.

Mr. Eichelberger studied Business Management in Germany and South Africa and received his Master of Sciences with distinction (Dipl. Kfm.) from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich, in 2003.
