EQT I bought Struers in 1998. Struers is a world leading manufacturer of equipment and consumables for materialographic surface preparation of solid materials.

During EQT´s ownership a number of important steps was taken to develop the company. Shortly following the acquisition, the non-core business unit Radiometer Analytical was divested.
Significant new products was developed and launched and new distribution channels established.
Large cost savings with simultaneous improvements in both internal and external communication was made. In addition, production capacity expanded in Denmark and significant investments was done in the Scottish subsidiary Logitech. 

In 2001 EQT sold Struers to Roper Industries Inc.

Key events during EQT's ownership:

• Built a coherent Struers Group, independent of former parent
• Re-focused on new proudct development
• Developed key account relationships with large opto-electronic customers
